Why do I need to use Stripe?
To keep Wellevate® and its users compliant and safe, all practitioners are required to set up payment through Stripe in order to collect profit from patient purchases.

Can I have a Wellevate® account and not set up a Stripe account?
Yes! Upon signing up and submitting your professional credentials (and without having to set up a Stripe account), you will automatically be onboarded with a no-profit Wellevate® account, which means your patients will receive a 10% standard global discount that cannot be modified. You are not responsible for related income or sales tax as Wellevate® remains the seller of record for your dispensary. You can switch to a for-profit account at any time.
Why does the Stripe form ask me for my birthdate?
Stripe asks for your birthdate to protect you by verifying your identity and ensuring the person entering in your banking information is, in fact, you. Stripe does not use your personal information for any other purpose. Take a minute to read their security and privacy policies.

How often will I receive deposits from Stripe?
If you are set up with a for-profit Wellevate® account, you can choose to have your revenue deposited into your account daily, weekly, or monthly. You can adjust your deposit schedule from your Stripe account dashboard.
Why is the Stripe form asking me for a password?
The password field is at the bottom of the Stripe form because you are creating a new Stripe account. This account is separate from your Wellevate® account and can be accessed at any time by going to the Stripe website. The password requires you have at least 8 characters, an uppercase letter, and a special character (e.g., !@#$)
